We're co-developing an easy to use smart home companion called HomeCare that runs on Alexa devices. HomeCare is designed for over 65s.
With voice recognition and a touchscreen it can help you with tasks including:
- Checking calendar and appointments
- Receiving messages
- Finding events in your local area
- Setting timers and reminders
- An evening checklist to provide you peace of mind before you go to bed at night
It also offers many features designed for entertainment, including:
- Quiz and daily riddles
- Radio
- Photos
- Videos
You can also connect to help and support lines, including Age UK’s Silver Line.
If you think HomeCare would help you, you might be interested in our three month trial. We would provide you with an Alexa pre-programmed with the HomeCare service for the three month duration.
We'd ask that you engage with our partners at HomeCare once a month to have a 30 minute chat about your experience. For every time you take part in these conversations, you will receive a £20 Love2Shop voucher.
We’ll send you your device and all the information you need to set it up. It’s a very simple process and you don’t need to worry about having a deep understanding of technology!
Please note that the device is not like a normal Alexa device and will only run the HomeCare service. If you already own an Alexa or similar device, then HomeCare may not be appropriate for you.
