Physical adaptations are changes that can be made to your home to make it safer and easier to do tasks and move around.

Before you get in contact with us about a physical adaptation to your home, you'll need to have been issued a report from an occupational therapist or trusted assessor for the relevant physical adaptations.

To be issued a report, you can contact your GP to ask for an occupational therapist referral or you can refer yourself to the occupational therapist team in your local authority area.

Physcial adaptations can be small changes, but also may include:

  • A wetroom
  • Ramping
  • An adapted kitchen
  • A stairlift

Our Physical Adaptation Grant Panel (PAG)

Our PAG panel work on behalf of our customers to ensure the services we provide and the delivery of the Physical Adaptation Grant process are customer-centered and of the highest standard. They provide an independent check and challenge to the services, service delivery and performance, as well as make recommendations on how they can be improved.

The panel is made up of a maximum of 10 members who are our customers and colleagues and is led by a colleague from our Assets team. The group meets twice a year as a minimum and discuss recommendations for how our PAG services could be improved from a customer perspective.

Would you like to become a member of our PAG panel? Get in touch with our Customer Experience team by emailing getinvolved@hafod.org.uk.
