A mixture of customers and colleagues at the TPAS awards

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the prestigious TPAS Cymru Good Practice Awards. Our dedicated team and customers have been recognised for their outstanding contributions in two categories.

Congratulations to Sarah Hancock, Travis Coldwell, Laura Bater, Michelle Holmes, Michelle McGregor, and the customers involved in developing the PAG (Physical Adaptation) Customer Panel for picking up second place in the Tenants Shaping Services category. This remarkable achievement highlights the collaborative efforts and dedication in ensuring our customers' voices are integral to shaping our services.

Sarah Hancock, Head of Assets, on the night said,

“Some amazing examples of resident engagement and how people are involving residents to help shape their services for the better. We we’re thrilled to be shortlisted in a very hard category with over 15 other associations also shortlisted so to say we are happy to come second for our less than one year old panel is an understatement.”

The second accolade, for Communicating with Tenants, was awarded to Hafod Connect. This initiative has made a significant impact, achieving over 27,000 views in its first 12 months. Congratulations to Michelle McGregor (editor) and all the colleagues who submit articles to ensure each edition is varied and informative. The success of Hafod Connect demonstrates our commitment to maintaining effective and engaging communication with our customers and supports our digitalisation plans for customers who wish to communicate this way.

Sally, one of our Scrutiny Panel members who attended the night as a guest of Hafod said,

“I'd like to say thank you to Hafod and Michelle for inviting myself and Sean to the TPAS Cymru Awards and for all of the hard work which goes into the Connect eNewsletter. It was lovely to be there and to support the team. I enjoyed meeting everyone and congratulations for winning the award.”

Both projects were initiated in 2023 and have already shown great value in ensuring our customers' voices are heard across our projects. They exemplify our ongoing efforts to keep our community informed and engaged with timely updates and meaningful interactions.

Congratulations to all the winners and everyone involved in these successful initiatives. Your hard work and dedication are truly making a difference!
