What’s worked well?

  • 27,436 times Connect has been opened (17,307 unique views)

  • 1,598 times a link was click to access forms/website etc.​

  • 99% successful delivery rate, reduction in bounced emails​

  • 538 more recipients taking the total to 3,675

  • 88 articles across the teams

  • 78 unsubscirbed, keeping the figures low

  • Positive feedback from colleagues and customers ​
     

Lessons learnt​

  • Keep the articles short with links to find out more on our website 

  • Alter the date to send at the start of the month for customers to see what's coming up

  • Keep a library of articles ready to use throughout the year
     

What’s changed​?

  • Delivery is the first Friday of the month starting (Jan 2024) ​

  • Adding an “Ask James” section for energy efficiency (Jan 2024)​ and an "Ask Justine" section for Decarb advice (July 2024)

  • Adding an “Are you a Hafod customer” to the subscribe button (Jan 2024)​

  • Add a reading time to ensure it’s kept under a 10-minute read (April 2024)​
     

What's next?

  • Following customer feedback we would like to explore the possibility of a section where customers can submit articles (August 2024)
  • Set up an editorial panel of customers and colleagues to help decided on future articles (September 2024)
  • Connect eNews has been shortlisted in the TPAS Cymru Good Practice Awards, keep your fingers crossed and this could be an award winning Connect! (July 2024)
