As part of our commitment to regenerate our housing stock and improve the energy efficiency of your home, we are working in partnership with Drew Energy Ltd on a programme of work to achieve this.
What is an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)?
An EPC is a rating given to a property to give an indication of its energy efficiency. The ratings are alphabetical, starting with an ‘A’ for the most energy efficient homes, dropping to the bottom rating of ‘G’ for the worse performing homes.
How long will the energy assessment take?
On average the energy assessment of your home will take 10-20 minutes.
What will be carried out during the energy assessment?
Our licensed and qualified Energy Assessor will take measurements of the rooms within the property and record key details relating to window type, heating and hot water systems etc.
Will the energy assessment involve moving furniture of lifting floorboards?
No. The energy assessment is a visual inspection only, however our assessor will need to gain access to the loft space, boiler, hot water tank, and electric meter during the survey.
