Our Community Fund

You might know it as a social value fund, either way, the heart of it is the same. Our Community Fund aims to generate real, lasting benefits for our communities, our customers, our local economy, and our planet. Every pound spent is a chance to create something meaningful.

Our Social Value Steering Group monitors our Fund, helping us choose projects that deliver the biggest benefits while also making sure the process is fair.

A key part of ensuring maximum benefit to the local economy is to build links between suppliers, businesses and residents, reducing the amount of money ‘leaking out’ of local communities. Our partnership with our suppliers enables customers and colleagues to access social value benefits.   Find out more about how our suppliers support our Community Fund

Our Mission

Get the basics right - providing high-quality homes, safe environments, and services that work for everyone. By getting the basics right we can address fundamental needs and improve access to essential services such as food security programmes, educational workshops and health and well-being initiatives.

Connect with you - relationships are fundamental to Hafod. Connecting is about focusing on what matters most to our communities, staying engaged and responsive to their needs. This may be through fostering social cohesion, promoting safety, or enhancing neighbourhood aesthetics, such as community events, neighbourhood watch programmes or enhancement projects.

Invest for a better future – using the Hafod pound to create lasting impact in our communities such as enhancing living conditions, fostering community engagement, and promoting sustainable practices; such as energy-efficient upgrades, community gardens, and communal spaces.

By focusing on these areas, applicants can contribute to creating vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable communities.
