Woodcroft Care Home is a modern, purpose-built home for people over 55, set in the heart of Trowbridge on the outskirts of Cardiff. Our location offers the best of both worlds, a peaceful setting with easy access to local facilities and everything the wider community has to offer.
We’re here to give every resident a great quality of life, whatever their needs or abilities. Our specially trained team are on hand day and night to provide tailored support, whether that’s residential care or more specialist dementia care.

Meet our management team
Helen Lewis, Interim Home Manager
Helen joined Hafod in 2008, starting her career in care as a community domiciliary care worker. She then progressed to a senior role, and after completing her level 5 in Health and Social Care progressed to a team leader position and was part of the team setting up Ty Cwm Extra Care scheme in Merthyr Tydfil. In that time Helen has always looked to progress and has continued to attend training courses to support her development and knowledge. In 2019 she joined the Operations team as deputy operations manager. In December 2021 she became the regional manager for Domiciliary Care.
Machala Harvey-Loveless, Deputy Manager
Previously a clinical lead nurse, Machala has vast knowledge in providing care for the home’s residents and is passionate about their well-being.
