People planting a new tree

Powis View community pop-up

Our Housing and Maintenance teams will be at Powis View in Barry on Thursday 21September to meet with customers. We are keen to hear from everyone about the improvements that have been made to your homes.

Join us at:

  • 3.30 - 4pm: Meet the teams and aim of the day
  • 4 - 5pm: Litter picking
  • 5.30 - 6.30pm: Chips and chat about your community

Please click here to let us know if you are able to join us or unable but would like to be kept informed.

You can also email getinvolved@hafod.org.uk if you would like to make an appointment to speak to a team member or let us know if you would like to take part in the litter pick.

We will be there to discuss any issues that are important to you, along with focusing on some topics that we hope you will find useful.

How have the building works impacted you?

Our Assets team will be in your community to discuss the changes that have been made to your homes and can help to resolve any outstanding repairs or maintenance concerns. We will also be inviting customers to install a Switchee smart thermostat that can help you to save money on your heating and helps us make sure your home is a healthy place to live.

Refuse and recycling

Our Estates team and Vale of Glamorgan Council will be available to discuss the impact of the new three-weekly collection cycle, and we will be reviewing our current provision to improve recycling rates and to keep black bag areas clean and safe.

Community gardens

We can apply to access Welsh Government funding to create a community garden and to generally improve the biodiversity of Powis View. This will be in collaboration with customers and we are excited to share our initial plans with you and to invite any volunteers to work with us on the project.

Housing team drop-in

Our Neighbourhood Coaching team will be on hand to help with all aspects of your tenancy and to connect you with local resources, support and activities.
